I had MacDougal on DL and looked on the royals' official website and found the following under roster and injuries:

4/21/06 Mike MacDougal Transferred from the 15-day to the 60-day disable list.

I don't know if that was expected, just found it and thought I'd post it if it wasn't already known.

You're right. I hadn't seen that yet -- thanks for the tip. Here's the link:

Now the dilemma... is Burgos worth it?

im assuming its retroactive to 4/1 when he was placed on the 15 day which means he still is going to be out about 6-8 weeks which is 42-56 days, so basically that means he will hopefully be coming back late May, early June, which is what they said all along, i do not think this is new news if i am not mistaken with it being retroactive to 4/1

Saves are a big category.

Last year when he came back from an injury he strung a couple nice months together where he saved something like 14 out of 15. I grabbed him off the waiver wire and have been sitting on him. I tihnk a bench spot for 6-8 weeks is a decent trade for free saves, decent ks and a decent ERA. I roll pitchers in and out all the time from the back of my staff so the sxtra spot doesn't effect me so much.

Ditto ;-D I have Burgos, so picking Mac up once I saw someone dropped him was a no brainer.
