The NY Compost can write what they want, but Clemens isn't going to the Bronx. They won't let him be a diva with special privileges. That is a deal breaker. Roger doesn't need the money. He wants the money, but he wants the money and the ability to do whatever the hell he feels like while on a team.

i disagree, even though i think he wants his freedom and to do whatever he wants, if he is gonna come back and pitch this year, its to get a ring, therefore the yankees, maybe the red sox are his best bet

I am calling it now...Clemens is going to come back as a Red Sox and no I am not a yahoo, just wishing. The talk here in Boston by writers in the know (gammons etc...) has the safe money on Boston with NY and Houston in the mix.

If Clemens does not hook back up with Houston soon after May1, then he will be a Red Sox by year end.

It is too enticing for him to turn down:

1. Pitch with Schilling, Beckett and Wakefield > RJ and ????
2. Lead the sox to a WS and retire;
3. Mend fences with the town he started his carear; and
4. The Yankees will not overpay for Roger enough to take him from the Red Sox.

Just my 2 cents...but my money would be on Roger in a BoSox uniform, if he does not retire.
