Risky move

Postby Zerkly » Sun Jul 20, 2003 2:29 pm

I benched my whole team today.

I'm in a 14 team 5X5 league, currently in 2nd place, 2 games out.

Going into today I was up 10-0 and really didn't think the team I was playing today could catch me in any catagory.

I'm not braggin', just wanted to know if anyone else used this stratagy?

I've benched all my pitchers at the end of the week with a big league, but never my hitters.

So far it has worked. Unless Shawn Green And Scott Rolen go 7 for 9 with 8 HR's and 8 RBI's tonight, I will end up 10-0.

8-o Lol. I've never benched a hitter without putting in a backup. Interesting strategy.

Great work. I've done the same thing and it worked for me as well. I guess you had large leads in all catagories to have the balls to do that :)

I've benched entire pitching staff's, but never a whole team. Although I have pulled 3-4 guys out after most of my opponents guys were done and the only thing I could really lose was Avg. if my guys went 0-fer. Not a bad idea, might as well minimize risk.

So, what happened???

I know that Green and Rolen weren't THAT productive tonite, but did anything else happen that you didn't anticipate?
