Dusty Baker is just like Tony LaRussa, rides the pitchers into the dirt and blows their arms out.

I realize Dusty has been leaving his pitchers in for high pitch counts, but in this case, the injury is due to the collision between Prior and Giles previous to the All-Star game.

Ughhhh....a shoulder injury combined with high pitch counts makes me wonder.....is it time to start thinking about moving Prior?

Prior deserves it. That collision was totally his fault.

I'm watching the Cubs game on WGN -- and I'm pretty sure it was the Cubs GM they were talking to (can't be for certain, because I didn't hear a name, but logic tells me it was)

Anyway... He said it was a pretty good possibility that they would put Prior on the DL retroactive to his last start -- and get skipped once in the rotation.

They are going to bring up some rookie (with a wicked good ERA) and he will start tuesday.

edit: vvv DHC obviously listens better than I do ;-)

Hendry said they would bring up Sergio Metre from AA to get the start on tuesday...He has had an ok year, but has been hot his last five starts. He has about a 1.30 ERA in his last five starts with a lot of strikeouts. On the year he is 6-7 with a 3.79 ERA with 32 BB and 98 K's in 109IP....Hopefully he will give the Cubbies a decent outing...but I don't think I would run right out a grab him of waivers... ;-) ...Estes still gets the start tomorrow... :-/
