Helton

I was counting on 30 jacks from him this season. With his power decline last season, I am a little concerned that his power struggles could continue this season. I drafted him early thinking his power would rebound. I am NOT concerned with ANY of his other offensive numbers, only HR's. Is there reason to starting being concerned here? I am a first time Helton owner and unsure if hes a slow starter.

The other owner's in my league avoided Helton at all costs. He slipped to me in the fourth round. I have never had him also, but I do think 30 HRs is a little high. He may reach 30, but when I drafted him, I really hoped for his RBI total to go up. He didn't reach 80 last year. I think 25 HRs and 90 RBI is a very meetable goal for him, with a fair number of runs scored and a superb average. 30 might be asking a little too much, but I am all for it.

Any Rockies homers out there with a little insight????

i had him last year and he frustrated the hell out of me, i was going to avoid him this year... but i kept hearing how much better his back was etc.
so now i have him in all my leagues (mostly because he slipped to the 4th round) im hoping for 30hrs,but he's atleast good for the avg.

I don't think Helton will ever be a 30 HR guy again. I see him now more as a Keith Hernandez type hitter, .315-.325 average with 15 HRs, 90-100 rbis (but with 20 HR potential in Coors).
Still a great hitter any way you slice it.
