HIs BA has been decent, but where is the Power.. He's been very very dry.. 2 Homers and 7 RBI. Im slightly concerned, he's now had 60 AB's, Id think we'd see a little more than this (he K'd 2x tonight with runners on each time). Dave Luciani for Baseball Notebook wrote on Teix the other day how he's concerned as well and said he may not come close to his 45 HR, 140 RBI prediction he gave him.. Im not saying Im going to go out and trade him, however I would not be surprised to see him end up with 34 HR, 105 RBI type #'s either.. If we winds up next week with the same 2 HR, 7-9 RBI type #'s he will have to average 8+ HR's and 25+ RBI a Month every month just to have a year like last year...

go and look
at Mannys numbers last year.(In april.)
He was even worst. Heres a good example, of how hot a player can be in 2 weeks , Pujols 10 HRs in 2 weeks
Tex has the same power upside as Pujols, so theres no reason not to expect the type of production out of him soon/

I have him in my league and I'm not worried at all. I remember him starting slow last year but ended up a top player.
NO worries!

Aside from a lack of home runs, he is hitting better than he did last April. .900+ OPS this year vs. .807 OPS last year.
and to say that he would have to go 8 HR/ 25 RBI per month is not far off from what he did from May to September last year.
May= 7/22
June= 9/28
July= 6/21
August= 6/22
September= 9/35
wait for the weather to warm up and for him to play a little more back at home, and he'll be OK. He only had 6/14 in April last year.

Teix is largely a product of that ballpark, wait for it to heat up and have him play at home and he'll start to produce.
