We're almost a month into the season. Right about now, owners are getting worried about underperforming players. At the same time, smart owners should be selecting their overachievers and shopping them around the market.
At 4/20, who are the leading 'Buy Low' and 'Sell High' candidates?
Buy low:
1. ARam (if you can find someone silly enough to trade him)
2. Utley (see ARam)
3. Weeks (there are reasons why he is so highly touted. IMO, there are a lot of homers and steals left for him this year)
Sell high:
Here I have an dilema. The name Chris Shelton is screaming in my ear, but as both a Shelton owner and a Shelto believer, is it really worth it to trade him? .300/30 HR/great OPS hitters do not grow on trees. IMO, it is entirely possible that in another year, you are looking at a Hafner clone.

I'd have to say the obvious sell high is Shelton. No homers in 3 days now his stock is already falling. Three big buy low's are Johan, Manny, and ARam. I've made very nice buy low deals on the 2 former.
I think my favorite buy lows right now are Izzy and Bonds. Bonds can probably be had for dirt cheap right now, yes he's looked pretty bad and yes his knee is held together with super glue and duct tape. Remember that he did look pretty good in spring training and if you're in the mood to speculate he could be a great buy low.
Izzy has looked pretty bad also, but he is the closer for the Cards and that's not going to change anytime soon. Hopefully he'll come around, but again he can be had for a pittance.
There's other obvious ones...MANRAM, ARAM, Utley...it's going to be hard to get those guys for bargaing basement prices.
Sell high? Thome! Old men with back problems don't play full seasons. His value is as high as it'll be all season.

Don't say things like this . I'm counting on Thome's bat to be a source of power for my fantasy team, and I can't afford to lose him to injury. Don't jinx him please .
Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.
