KROD??? what is his status anyone

Postby kyle2270 » Thu Apr 20, 2006 1:08 pm

What is status of Krod, he got rocked again against Minn? Anyone have anything. I know he was nursing a sore hammy or quad last week but they said he was good to go. Only thing i see going is saves and my ERA skyrocketing? Thanks for any input.

He's playing in the 8th inning right now, Angels up 6-4...are they going to give Shields the 9th?

Why would they do that? :-? :-?

K Rod is their closer, not Shields. He came in because of trouble in the 8th.

I bet Scioscia did it
(1) as a vote of confidence
(2) Shields pitched two straight nights and bullpen's been pretty overworked of late.

Yeah, Shields has been very busy and asking for one more out from KRod isn't all that much. KRod is the closer unless he breaks down and then it's Shields. Just another reason (the certainty that he's the #2 guy there) that I love Shields. ;-D

THe good news is, K-Rod got it done today... He looked awful last night, I was starting to think it was an injury. With today's performance, his rough early outings are starting to look like just an out of the gate fluke.
