barmes in 2005 had 350 ab (pretty good sample size) in MLB, through which he hit 10 hr, stole 6 bases, and hit .289

ramirez in 2005 had 465 ab (pretty good sample size) in AA, through which he hit 6 hr, stole 26 bases, and hit .271

suffice to say it's much more difficult to steal in the majors, and i think you have to give barmes the benefit of the doubt. at least for this season.
