I'm pretty thin at 1B (N. Johnson and Casey)... so when Casey hit the DL I took a look at this kid for a little insurance. I don't know much about him, but some things I like:
- Pads were going to try to get him more ABs this year anyway, but with Klesko out he's been taking full advantage of this opportunity.
- Number 1 overall draft pick. I don't pretend to know a lot about baseball talent, but the guys who do took this kid first.
He was just sitting on waivers, so I scooped him. Haven't seen much discussion about him... Any thoughts?

He does not have much power and plays in Petco. I have heard him compared to Mark Grace, which makes him much better in real baseball than in fantasy.

i dropped him a couple days ago but if you need RBI and have the spot he will get you some RBI, id say 10 HR, 90 RBI isnt out of the question for him as long as he has a full time job

I'm in a league that counts doubles and triples and he seems to be getting a lot of those...(doubles)

I would not play him over Nick Johnson. But he is a serviceable fill-in at Util or backup 1B. I would put him behind Nady, LaRoche but ahead of Saenz, Neikro, and other acts of desperation.
