you don't need to apologize for anything! i'm just trying to keep this a few posts ahead of the hamster trail.

i'm always a touch neurotic when it comes to the possibility of watching my thread getting nashed and hoovered by that 45-foot rodent.

Schilling comments, which i haven't heard, seem to be misplaced. Their has been drama between these teams since 2000. I beilve it started with Pedro hitting D rays batters during a no hit bid.

i take it that no one heard, or has seen a transcript of schilling's radio comments. sort of irresponsible reporting from cbs, frankly.

give us the whole story, or don't give us any of it.

I listened to the interview on WEEI Tuesday Morning and Schill did say those comments. They might have the audio file on WEEIs site if you want to check it out. They also talked about it this morning on the radio. Schill was asked a question about the Rays/Sox and hitting batters and thats when he pointed the finger at Kazmir.

Kazmir responded back in the papers that was released in the ST Petersburg Times today. I'm sure thats on the St Pet. times site if you want to check that out also.

Side note: I'm glad guys like Kazmir and others on Tampa are finally growing a set, and not taking crap from everybody.

This just isn't a case of Schilling being Manny?

Yes, Gerald WIlliams charged the mound after getting hit in the hand during a no-hitter. Brian Daubach broke his arm during the fight. There's been a little bad blood since then.

well done! thanks! ;-D

the pertinent material is at 19:50

it's not that inflammatory, but it's definitely oversimplified and somewhat condescending toward kazmir. as kazmir mentioned, there were issues well before he ever showed up.

Schill has become one of my least liked players. I guess him joining the Sox has something to do with it, but it just seems like he is always spouting off an opinion that I don't agree with.
