Nomar to be back in the Majors in 3 Days

Postby spacehamster01 » Thu Apr 20, 2006 2:11 am

Apr 19 Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Nomar Garciaparra (muscle) has been sent to Triple-A Las Vegas on a two-day rehab assignment, according to the Associated Press. He expects to play roughly six innings Thursday, April 20, getting at least three at-bats, and will likely play even longer Friday, April 21. If all goes well, he could return to the big league club by Saturday, April 22. He acknowledged that he isn't 100 percent yet, but only because of residual soreness.

So, given his recent history, he'll be back on the DL by this time next week..?

He's going to catch the Black Death in LA next...I will keep my fingers crossed that he comes back and returns to form. I have him on the DL on a couple of teams but I'm not really expecting big things too much...

I don't know how anyone can have any faith in him anymore! he never plays more than 20-30 games without an injury. Maybe it is time to go to the american league and become a DH.

The closest Nomar should get to sports is sitting in the "Player's Wives" section at Mia's soccer games.

you people are all stupid.

if nomar stays healthy he will be fine, period.

i love how people forget what the man can do with the bat in his hands and with the surrounding cast he has in L.A. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes in at 80-23-87-.315

Yep, Nomar will be back in a few days. Then, soon after he returns he'll be back on the DL. :-b :-b

Yes, these comments questioning Nomar's abilty to play more than two weeks in a row without injury are totally unfounded and unsupported given the history of the past 3 seasons. How could any of you question that Nomar will be a hugely valuable fantasy and real life baseball asset??? They are TOTALLY uncalled for!!
