DEREK LEE LEFT THE GAME

Anyone know anymore about this??? All I heard is that he hurt his right arm

It took me seventeen years to get three thousand hits in baseball. I did it in one afternoon on the golf course.

It looked pretty bad at first, but Lee didn't seem to be in a lot of pain as he left. Lee got his right wrist trapped between his body and Furcal's while he was standing at first bsae awaiting a throw. We'll label him day-to-day for now. If he needs to miss a few games, the Cubs will play Todd Walker at first and go with Jerry Hairston Jr. and Neifi Perez at second.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Derrek Lee's injury is being called a sprained right wrist. X-rays were inconclusive.
If Lee has a break, he'd likely miss at least four to six weeks and we might see Brandon Sing called up to platoon with Todd Walker at first base. There's atill reason to hope it's just a day-to-day injury for Lee. Apr. 20 - 1:29 am et

wow if he is out for 4-6 weeks, i'm f'd
