He is pitching great and has a low whip, i really believe this year he will turn things around and become an above average starter, what do you guys think?

I think he started hot last year too, he's a good sell high guy, I own him but don't trust him, I took him for the wins.

I'll agree with this. That home park (if it really is a hitters park) isn't conducive to good #s over the long haul.

Isn't he also like 10-1 in his last 11 starts? I picked him up recently.

My opinion based on last year is he is great for wins, but not going to help you out in ERA. He will continue to win.

He's very hittable, but when he has his control and catches some luck, he can hold a team to a few runs, and with the Cards bats backing him up, he'll rack up wins. But historically, he's only done this over short stretches, then suddenly, he becomes a mediocre pitcher again. Sometimes guys like this become dependable though not spectacular starters worth keeping around, but most of the time, not. With his puny K #s, he's never going to be a stud.
My bet is, he's a #5 pitcher on a lucky streak that won't last.
