Carrie Muskat, of Chicago.Cubs.MLB.com, reports Chicago Cubs SP Kerry Wood (shoulder) ended his bullpen session early with tightness on his right side under his arm Thursday, April 20. He will try to throw a side session on Saturday, April 22. If there's any problem, his next simulated game will be pushed back.
After last year (even then I knew better), I made it a point to stay far, far away from Wood. It doesn't matter anymore (his potential, that is) because he can't keep himself healthy. Dusty Baker isn't the best manager out there for pitching arms anyway...I'd get rid of him and let some other sucker grab him. Good luck either way, but I'd steer clear of him!
