Has anybody noticed...Phil Nevin ISN'T out for the season as earlier thought. He's rehabbing right now in the minors...latest thread i saw said he went 2-2 Wed. with 3 RBI's. He's expected back July 29. I opened a roster spot and stuck him on my DL. Whatta ya think.....this could be a very nice pickup.

I picked up Nevin myself. I have Hinske at the position now and am not sure if his production this year was because of injury or sophomore slump. Nevin at a minimum is a good insurance policy. Hopefully, he will resemble his former self and provide some pop to my lineup.
I could be wrong in what I'm saying but I'll be dead before I realize it.

has anyone noticed that phil nevin sucked profusely last season?
i dunno if we'll see his .310/35-40/120ish form this season, or ever again. but i hope so. he's an insurance policy in one of my leagues.
so the key here is to not be dependant on the guy so you don't jump in FRONT of the nevin train.

I just did some magic to help my pitching staff out to catch up this week. I dropped Eric Hinske and added Phil Nevin. Since Hinske sucked anyway it doesn't matter that he's on the DL. This move allowed me to put Nevin on the DL. That opened up a roster spot and allowed me to pick up Jerome Williams, who starts on Sunday to help win my pitching stats for the week! I know I'm shrewd!
