MLB 06: The Show (somewhat interesting)

I played a season with the jays and Lyle Overbay hit 40 homeruns and over 110 rbi's, and even more funny is that Hinske hit 18 homerung with 82 rbi's and 10 sb's.

I wasnt a fan at first, but it is surpisingly good and has surprisingly grown on me....The pitching is more realistic in reagards to hitting your spots and when you hit the ball you really have to swing and use the joystick to connect where the ball is pitched, unlike past games where you hit X and the ball goes wherever....I like it ;-D ;-D

The games pretty good. For career mode I made a guy maxed out his stats and at one point in his career he had a 48 HR 51 SB season...I was pretty disappointed...expecting a 50/50 season from him. :*)

this thread just reminds me of how pissed i am that mvp and ea no longer have the mlb license. the swing stick is awesome, but i can't stand the ping of the bat. this situation needs to be remedied.

cue the hamster food...

Maybe I am stupid at this but I dont really care for the baserunning. If you have a guy on first and try to guess a pitch using the circle button and up your first baseman will try to steal (usually gets caught in a pickle). Also if I want a guy to go from 2 to home with a base hit from a guy at the plate the game will send the guy home but also send the hitter to second. (this being done using the analong stick and not the directional buttons). Besides that the game is ok. I still perfer EA hands down.

There is an option to use wood bats.
