Where to Improve?

Postby ShadyChrs » Wed Apr 19, 2006 8:21 pm

Currently in first place, how do I improve on this team.

C: J. Willingham
1B: D. Ortiz
2B: R. Freel
SS: O. Cabrera
3B: H. Blalock
OF: J. Bay
OF: L. Berkman
OF: S. Podsenik
UT: M. Alou
BN: T. Wigginton
DL: J. Lugo
DL: N. Garciaparra

SP: C. Schilling
SP: R. Harden
SP: C. Zambrano
SP: M. Clement
SP: T. Glavine
RP: F. Rodriguez
RP: BJ Ryan
RP: J. Papelbon
DL: A. Benitez
DL: K. Wood

SS and 3B are the most obvious weaknesses, but I have Lugo and Garciaparra coming off the DL in both spots soon. I was thinking of putting a package of Blalock plus a Closer and try to upgrade 3B. What would it take to get someone like M. Cabrera?

Good team! To early to make a big move though, let it ride for a lil bit.
