When is he coming back? Anyone? Can they at least put him on the DL so that I can pick someone up in his place.

I think he'll be back in another day or 2. Also consider they don't want him to risk it in cold weather because he could hurt it worse.

He says he's "60%" right now. I highly doubt he'll be back in the Atlanta series. Hopefully right after that but right now it seems like it's up in the air.

Beltran, who left Saturday's game, appears the furthest from returning. He suggested he may not be ready for the series that opens tomorrow in San Diego. Beltran said he didn't want to be placed on the disabled list. "I feel 60%. It's not enough for me to get out there and play," Beltran said. "I can run, but not full speed."

After last years debacle with Beltran playing hurt all year expect the Mets to be extremely careful with him this time around.

I doubt he plays at all this week. IMO he plays again on Monday.

After last year, I think it would be best to put him on the DL and make sure he's fully-healthy before bringing him back. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The worst thing would be for him to go through another '05, playing hurt and playing poorly.

Carlos Beltran said he ran the bases and took flyballs prior to Wedesday's game. He might be nearly ready to return from a hamstring injury.

Beltran will most likely be back in the lineup for the Mets today. I heard it on the Mets' Network.

Last night on WFAN radio Randolph said Beltran would be back today. But today on WFAN a reporter said Beltran was likely to miss today and tomorrow.

He should be back by early next week tops just be patient.
