Your offense looks really solid. Your relievers look pretty good too. You lack a #1 dominating starter, but they are all solid. Overall, it should be a good team. But one question: why can't you keep Ortiz or Bay.
Thanks for the response.
Commish made the rule that we couldn't keep any player drafted in the first 2 rounds, and Ortiz and Bay were my first 2 picks.

Thanks for the response, and nice sig. What types of guys should I be targeting? Is Oswalt reasonable?
Oswalt is reasonable for Beltran in keeper leagues IMHO, but you will have a hard time getting that through.
Its a buy low - sell high world in fantasy baseball but after Beltran’s bust last year with Oswalt’s dominating season, along with Oswalt starting off this year hot, you will be lucky to get that owner to accept it 1-1.
If you cant keep Bay I would try and trade him for the best SP I can get. If you cant receive what you feel is an adequate return for him then be willing to trade D. Ortiz. Except a better SP for Ortiz than you would get from J. Bay though.
Your team is solid and above average top to bottom except for a top SP to anchor your rotation. You have a good enough offense to give up one of your tier-1 sluggers in exchange for pitching help and aren’t hurting that bad.
Take your time and make sure you receive an even return for whatever slugger you give up.
Good squad
"Son we would like to keep you around here but were trying to win a pennant this year."
I wouldn't trade Bay or Ortiz, regardless of whether you can keep them or not. It's likely that the guys you get in return aren't keepable either. They're great to build a team off of.
As for Beltran, Oswalt would be nice, but I'd try more like Harden, Sheets, Zambrano (struggling), Halladay, Unit... any of those would be great. Oswalt would be perfect, but it's unlikely. Maybe if you package in a crappy/decent SP.

I would stay away from Unit. It looks like he's finally losing some of it. I have Bannister, and he looks like he is for real, even though he is a rookie. If you can take the bad starts that he will have because he is a rookie, I would try and take him. Also, try Glavine. Maybehos owner thinks that he will slow down eventually, but I think he should continue. Beltran's recent surge looks promising and you might be able to trade for a struggling pitcher. Johan has struggled, so you might be able to get him with a good enough package.
