2) Yes, I know I need to drop Dellucci, I just haven't yet.

You could try to trade Varitek for a midlevel closer since you only have 1 or 2. If you want to get Swisher in your lineup, you could try to trade Blake while he is hot.

For Varitek a MI utility-man backup or an SP in trade sounds amiable.

After this week bench Blake for Swisher unless Blake just stays on fire.

Unless Holds is a category Shields offers limited upside. You would have to have a lot of bad SP match-ups in a given week for him to crack your starting lineup. I dont see how dropping him for a viable OF/SP option off the wire is a bad idea.

Try to package Varitek and Capuano for a Smoltz type SP, or go after a closer like Street, Ryan, or Hoffman.
