All 4 starting OFs injured -- Griffey (surprise!), Beltran, Edmonds, Huff. within a week.

I hit 17 homers last week and lost the category.

The week before I hit 15 and lost.

-I just lost saves. I had 8 my opponent had 9. The most anybody in the rest of the league had was 5.

-I drafted Gagne and Benitez as my two main closers. Fortunately, I managed to get Papelbon and Baez and then swapped Baez for F Cordero when someone panicked.

-Drafted Lugo, when he went on the DL I picked up Kinsler... who also went on the DL

-Griffey on the DL

- Played the best team in week two and lost 7-3 when I would have beaten or tied all but one of the other 9 teams... and the other team would have only beaten me 6-4.


I thing I have the best team in the league but am now in 7th place sitting at 8-12. Not nearly as bad as duckbillgates, but still a crummy way to start the season.

Gagne, Huff, Chipper, Nomar, CC, and just got Crosby and Sheets off DL. Halladay has missed time as well. 2nd to last place worst team I have by far. I must have slept through this draft.

And I thought my day was bad when I woke up to find that I lost 11.5 points in my ROTO league, moving from 1st to 4th. And I didn't even have a pitching meltdown. I ain't got nothing on you.

I'll start things off.
Because they dropped in the draft (12th and 13th rounds, I think), I gambled on Mark Prior AND Roger Clemens.
My closers? Eric Gagne and Armando Benitez.
Outfielders Aubrey Huff and Jeremy Hermida bring my team to a grand total of six guys who aren't playing right now.
My current No. 2 starter behind Randy Johnson is Tim Hudson.
My current closers are Fernando Rodney and Joe Borowski.
Oh, and I'm still waiting for that first Bonds homer ...

holy mother; i don't think anyone can top that.

Barajas, Figgins, Ellis, Brady Clark, Brad Wilkerson, Beltre, Kubel, Baldelli, KRod, Peavy, Sabathia, and Orvella.

Wow. Now I'm actually pleased with my 19th place team. Of course with CC and Cameron to return from the DL and just having traded McCarthy for Vazquez and Jenkins I think things are looking up anyway.
