I agree that he is the long man, but it is aggrivating to see him sitting out in the pen while our 40 year old overworked lefty is blowing the game.

It's now 10 days that he hasn't pitched. Why wouldn't they at least put him at Triple-A to get some work??? I can understand that he has nothing left to prove at that level, but, the guy is being completely wasted sitting around. As one of their top prospects, he is being completely mishandled.

It wasn't extremely noticable or anything, but someone in the dugout saw something and was really concerned

Oye.... Great time for the long man to get hurt.
edit: they're saying "strained right ham string" on Chuck James.

Per Rotoworld, Chuck James to the DL. Damn but at least I can replace him.

From Rotoworld:
Latest News May. 16, 2006 - 10:08 pm et
Chuck James (hamstring) is scheduled to pitch an inning for Single-A Rome Wednesday to start his rehab assignment.
The plan is for James to be stretched out on his rehab assignment, giving the Braves the option of bringing him back as a starting pitcher next month.

Looks like Chuck is gonna get a shot at the rotation soon. With Davies out for a couple of months, he's got a good chance to stick around also. He might only be a 5 or 6 inning pitcher at first, but, he was dominant in the minors. Now it's just a case of how long it's gonna take for his rehab (hamstring) and for them to stretch him out. I think he is great sleeper.
