I just traded for him so I would be down with either. Especially if he ended up a Met ... but I doubt it will happen this early in the season. Also, I don't know what the Yanks farm system would have to give.

As a Zito owner, this could be very interesting. However, I find it hard to believe this will actually take place. Primarily because:
the A's would like to receive three younger, less costly players for Zito.

I think the Mets may have what it takes, but I don't see the Yankees capable of providing what the A's want.

I also am a Zito owner in one of my leagues, and I wouldn't mind a trade to the Mets/Yanks..better run support.

Seems like the NY papers publish a Zito to NY trade rumor every year for like 3 years now!

He's staying with Oakland and will sign in NY as a free agent in the offseason. The Yankees have nothing to offer and the Mets won't give up Milledge (hopefully!). Besides, the A's have a shot at winning the division this year. I don't think they will, but it won't be apparent that they're out until after the deadline and so they can't trade their ace.
