I really am considering it. I'm about to write them and ask alot of tough questions, because I don't have $995 laying around the house. But if it could get my foot in the door...

if your taking it as a career consideration, find out what sort of placement/recruitment/career counseling services they provide. If they don't have any, it's not worth your time unless you can tie it to something else. I took a sports econ class at school from one of the more widely published researchers and there was definitely nobody at the career center looking to hire b/c of that class.
