Who wants a Swisher Sweet?

Postby TheBayBergaler » Mon Apr 17, 2006 6:12 pm

Breakout season possible? He's been hitting 2nd. .and I've been watching the A's games.. even the pitches that he's missing.. he's JUST missing.. otherwise he's hitting rockets. Great plate discipline.. just needs to brush up on his hitting lefty's.

Thoughts?

He has looked great so far. I read a bit prior to the season how he has been following Thomas around alot, picking his brain and has kind of made him his mentor. Looks to be paying off because he looks great at the plate right now.

No, tobacco is whacko. :-D Seriously though, I think he could be an asset in deeper leagues. I still don't expect him to hit for a particularly high average, but with his OBP, he could help in OBP leagues. In addition, that will allow him to score runs, especially out of the 2 hole. Power numbers for Nick will be good, too.
