it could be ironic, depending on your definition of "going deep." heh. and that shoddy pop song was sung by alanis morrissette, previously recognized for her work on nickelodeon (cut it out) and since immortalized by wesley willis' hommage, titled simply, "alanis morrissette."

Note: The name of the Nicelodeon show was "You Can't Do That on Television." "Cut it Out" was a popular skit on the show. It was also ironic that her break-out album was inspired by her breakup w/ Dave Coullier (uncle Joey from Full House), whose catch phrase on the show was "cut it out."
