Postby Strasil42 » Mon Apr 17, 2006 4:42 pm

The Yankees team ERA leads the AL at 3.84 and is only 4th in the majors.

The Yankees also lead the majors with 80 runs scored while giving up just 52.

With numbers like those, I would expect a turnaround. Appears they have had some bad luck/bad calls. Although Randy performance tonight certainly doesn't help that era. Haha.

I read somewhere in the last couple days that at the Yanks' current pace, their pythagorean record projects out to like 107 wins or something. Let's hope life imitates math... :-b

Update:

The Yankees are now in first place, and have the 2nd lowest team era in the AL and the bullpen has the lowest era in the AL through thursday's game.

Yankees 2.92
Angels 3.09
Tigers 3.16
Athletics 3.87
Twins 4.19
White Sox 4.29
Red Sox 4.31
Rangers 4.57
Royals 5.06
Mariners 5.07
Blue Jays 5.24
Indians 5.61
Devil Rays 5.63
Orioles 5.81

Edited to add the bullpen's era without tanyon.

The bullpen except for Sturtze: 2.48 ERA

I can't wait for sturtze to get sent down.

Does that include tonight's bed-crapping by Small, Farnsworth and Mo? That was just painful. :-o

Great departure from year's past ;-D ;-D ;-D

I'm real excited about this year.

And how about Proctor today getting out of Bases Loaded NO One Out with 3 straight outs including a strikeout of Tex 8-o 8-o

Incredible ;-D
