Trade for Pitching

Postby stlcardsfan » Mon Apr 17, 2006 12:56 pm

My team right now:

C - Barrett
1B - Konerko
2B - Utley
SS - Young
3B - Rolen
OF - Sheffield, C. Lee, A. Jones
Util - Thome
Bench - Mora, Aaron Rowand, Gathright

SP - Pettitte, C. Lee, B. Myers, Lowry, Bedard, Young, Garland
CL - Gonzalez, F. Rodney, Worrell

Should I look to trade some of my hitters for some pitching help or stay put? Right now I'm ahead in RBIs, HRs, Runs and Avg. and at the bottom in ERA and WHIP

You have a ton of great outfielders. Young and Bedard have a ton of upside and may be big for you down the road. I think if you were willing to part with one of your big name outfielders Sheff,Rowand,Lee, or Jones you could land a solid Ace pitcher. The one Util spot hurts you because the 1st basemen will fill that up except for days off.
I would probably make a move on a closer first, then worry about another big name pitcher.
