If you can stick him on the DL then I think he's worth it. He's a career .300 hitter and still could hit 20 homers. He's also will be eligible at 3b,1b, ss once he plays first base, and you're not going to find too many better back up SS.
Edit: Clearly, I'm bitter, so take that into account.
LOL, every time I try to make an angry face I get a smoochy face. Since I don't want a smoochy face anywhere near Garciaparra, I will leave no smiley whatsoever, sorry.
I read somewhere that he wont even be ready once this stint on the DL is done. I drafted him in one league and I am holding on to him with hope that he can do something. I am skeptical. If you have room take him
I've got him on my DL - I can definitely see him helping out my team down the road. I think he'll be out to prove that he's not yet washed up! He should hit around .300 with some pop.
I have Nomar on a 20 team pretty deep league, wanted him as my starting SS, i got him stashed away at DL right now, but my backup, khalil greene has made an ample case to steal that starting job away from him when he comes back, i expect nomar to come back and put up pretty decent numbers, but I smell a position battle coming up in my fantasy league
