Basically, I am looking to upgrade my hitters because the way the points are set up, a good hitter is 2x as valuable as a good pitcher. Where am I most weak, and in a 9 team league, what kind of talent should I be looking for?

Lopez isnt that great. Try selling him off for Hernandez or Barrett.

M. Giles should be your 2B, C. Lee your 3rd OF over Bonds, and Jenkins in the UTIL.

Try and Sell off bonds for a SS or SP. Perhaps Perralta.

Dump Duaner Sanchez and Romero. Saves are worth more then Holds, so there isnt much reason to have a Middle reliever over a closer.

You also need another solid option at SP after Beckett and CZam.

I exchanged Romero for Worrell.

I am considering dropping a reliever for a starter - Arroyo, Rogers, Marquis, and Odalis Perez are available. Arroyo looks like the leader there. Any suggestions?

You need a bat in util, I agree with the previous advice about moving bonds to the bench, lee to the OF, and giles to 2b. Any bat you cna find who will fill your util with power numbers should round you out.
