I'm trying to solve an arguement me and another manager in my league are having over who is better paul konerko or hideki matsui. positions aside. it is a keeper in which ops is a category. thanks for your help and will help in return.

I like Matsui better. He hits in a better lineup, and he plays 162 games a year.

It comes down to Matsui's HR totals. If he gets back up to around 30, then he's better than Konerko, IMO.

If he stay in the low 20s in HR, I have to give it to Konerko.

Hmmm...last i checked, Konerko almost single handedly brought his team a World Series title a year ago...pretty sure Matsui doesn't have that on his resume...i mean this is a real tough desicion....

Im aware, either way, konerko still puts up better numbers if he's healthy...

AVG- Matsui
Runs- Matsui
HR- Konerko
RBI- Matsui
SB- yea right

I'll take Matsui. OF is also a shallower position than 1B as you need to plug 3 guys in there rather than just one.

I disagree. The only thing he puts up is more HR. Everything else is Matsui's.

Who has the better 1-5 lineup in front of him? Matsui, arguably the best 1-5 in the league. It comes down to RBIs.
