I'm guessing here but they probably needed K's, I know Glavine has some this year but typically he is around 100-120 K's a year, Cabrera brings 200+K potential.

well, that's what i thought. i've checked out their roster and see weaker links. they are tied with the team they are going h2h with in Ks, so maybe they are looking at the potentially higher strikeouts with cabrera. i don't know, has me puzzled.

It's not surprising. I'm in a league where some idiot dropped John Smoltz last week, so he could pick up Sergio Mitre.

Seems that way too many fantasy players value potential more than a proven commodity. Glavine may not be the same pitcher he was 10 years ago, but he was pretty damn good for most of last year and now has a more potent offense backing him up. Plus he has been a pretty durable player thoughout his career.
