USPS Shipping

Postby baseball6791 » Sun Apr 16, 2006 4:37 pm

I'm having a couple of packages ship to me through the US Postal Service, does anyone have any idea how long it will take to get to me? I am in the bay area and it is being shipped from Tuscon, AZ...

Depends on how you're having it shipped. There are lots of options.

Many kinds of shipping can be tracked on the USPS website. Did they give you a parcel number or a tracking number?

Yeah, I have the tracking numbers and have entered them on the website, but it's still in the "acceptance" stage (it was shipped on the 13th), so I don't know if that means its in transit or if its still sitting at the post office in tuscon :-?

If it's a package and you can enter the tracking number, it should give you an estimated delivery date on that page.

Without knowing what kind of shipping you chose it's really hard to tell you how long it will take.

To give an example, I've had stuff shipped from LA to Lincoln, NE in five days and I've had things shipped from Memphis to Lincoln in three days. It depends on whether they put it on a truck or a train (truck usually being faster) or if they put it on a plane, which of course would be the fastest of all.

I'd guess without knowing any more that if they received the paperwork on the 13th they'll get you your package by the 21st - but that's a guess on my part.

Check on the page you get AFTER you enter your tracking number for any kind of ETA. That'll give you way better info than I can by guessing.

Knapplc's right. There should be an ETA on the website when you enter the tracking number.

Other than that, we're all just guessing here. !+)
