First 2 Weeks of Frustration, You Feeling it?

Postby spacehamster01 » Sun Apr 16, 2006 3:09 am

Any guys you wish you could get rid of but still have somewhat faith in them and thats why you are holding on to them?

Here are mine...

Aramis Ramirez.... .167, 1 HR, 2 RBI
Jim Edmonds........ .158, 1 HR, 7 RBI, 2 SB
Scott Podsednik.... .079, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 SB

Pods is doing nothing for the reason I drafted him...SB of course
Edmonds is slumping and I really expected a much better start from him considering he's actually a good April Guy, Career .321 hitter in April
I know Aramis Ramirez is a slow starter, but its never been this BAD! Ugh, the frustration...

Well this was a combination of a 2 week build up of venting :-° ...anyone else feeling as frustrated as me?

Well, as for Ramirez, I got him for Doug Davis and Kelvim Escobar because of the slump, so I can't complain.

It's a bunch of players that have been getting to me. Most notably base stealers and closers. I depend on them with my style of play. Seeing as in one league I'm last place in homers and rbi, if the players I picked don't get going, I'm done for.

Add Figgins, Ichiro and Marcus Giles to my frustration list. Heck, add half my team. :-/

biggest frustration has been bonds. i drafted the guy in the midrounds in 2 leagues with hopes of flipping him when he gets hot...so far he's ice cold.

also wilkerson, i really expected the guy to be doing much better than he is

If you've been playing fantasy ball more than a couple of years, you know it's way too early to
wish you could get rid of but still have somewhat faith in them
. Not guys like those. Get frustrated, maybe. Sit them on the bench for a while, definitely. But fantasies of fire sales or waivers -- that's silly. I remember shopping Santana for two months a couple years ago -- and how happy I eventually was when no one ever bit.

But if I was going to answer your question, three days ago I would have said Chase Utley. One game changed my mind. That'll be true of lots of these guys.

Figgins, AROD, Bonds, and Sexson are starting to grind my gears. I'm still trying to trade for Johan at a reduced price tho :-D
