Always the bridesmaid-I want to win this year!

Postby mikeycrew » Sat Apr 15, 2006 8:58 pm

First time post, and I'm excited for my team this year! I've come in 2nd the past three years, and I'm really tired of it. So this is my roster, in an NL-only 8 keeper league, standard 5x5:

Lieberthal, Jacobs, Utley, Furcal, Wright, F Lopez, Rolen, Bay, J Guillen, Rowand, Nady

Peavy, Lieber, Maddux, Suppan, Bush, Olsen, C Cordero, Dempster

On my bench or DL: Clemens, Dellucci, Church, K Johnson, Medders

Overall, I LOVE my team. My only worries are my 4th OF spot and 5th SP. If Clemens re-signs with the Stros, life is good.

Any comments or ratings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not very familiar with the single league style, but you seem to look pretty good. I think the place for the biggest upgrade would be at 1st, but Jacobs should be able to do what needs to be done. Even if he struggles at times, the rest of your offense should be able to make up for him. I like your SP. If Clemens re-signs you're all set. If not, I don't think you're in any trouble. RP looks good. Should have plenty of saves between those two guys. Also, as far as your OF goes, I think that between Nady, Dellucci and Church you should be able to patch together a pretty effective 5th OF spot.
