how is my team?

Postby redsox dirt dog » Thu Jul 17, 2003 12:10 pm

I'm in a 10 team head to head league on cbssportsline. I have made three trades this season and I'm only in 3rd place in my division, but I'm still in position to make the playoffs. Tell me what you honestly think. If my team is shit, let me hear it. I appreciate your opinions.

C: Jorge Posada
1B: Richie Sexson
2B: Jeff Kent, Luis Castillo
3B: Mike Lowell
SS: Nomar Garciaparra
OF: Sammy Sosa
OF: Jim Edmonds
OF: Pat Burrell
U: Edgar Martinez

Pitchers

Roy Halladay
Jason Isringhausen
Jamie Moyer
Ramon Ortiz
Roy Oswalt
Odalis Perez
Tim Wakefield
John Burkett
Shigetoshi Hasegawa
Jose Lima
Greg Maddux
Ramiro Mendoza

Also, Burrell and Maddux have obviously been real busts. It's gonna be hard to trade them. Do you think they'll pick it up? Should I just drop them? Are they at all tradeable?

if you dont have two 2B slots, trade one of ur excellent 2B for a Burrell replacement.

Believe me, Ive tried lots of times to trade Castillo, but there seem to be no takers. Ive tried to package him with Jose Lima a bunch of times but it hasnt worked. I think I need to improve my pitching and get one more ace starter because about half my pitchers are pretty mediocre.

youve got some greatness and some not so greatness and since you probably know who the greatness is already ill go to the not so greatness never liked ortiz esp that one so i think he should be moved wakefield same dunno what your still doing with burkett unless wins are that important in your league mendoza is not a closer by any stretch of the imagination look to get a cordero or any closer thats still on ur ww and watch the lima groin thing intently
