Every season there are SP's that come out of nowhere to earn spots in fantasy rotations....which players would you consider for this list?

Sean Marshall? He's looked ok in a couple of outings, other than one inning vs. the Cards... :-?

Arroyo has pitched really well for me so far. I think he just needed a fresh start away from Boston.

Arroyo is a good K pitcher but I wouldn't start him at home. He's a flyball pitcher whose home park is a bandbox.

And as far as the fresh start, it's not like there was any, any, any sort of acrimony between Arroyo and the Sox. No need for him to get a fresh start or to lead credence that switching teams put him in a better frame of mind or anything. He's just had a couple of good outings to start the season. And he'll be ok. Just not consistent.

I wasn't trying to suggest that there were bad feelings between Arroyo and the Sox. I just think that they had high expectations for him and he never really lived up to it. I think it might have been a good move for him to move on. I completely agree with you on your assessment of Arroyo and I will aim to start him only on the road.

Some arms which I can see be an asset and inexpensive include...

S. Baker
J. Seo
E. Bedard
B. McCarthy (I'm thinking he joins the rotation)
B. Bannister (Maybe this is the season Atl falls off and the mets offense looks really good)
J. Verlander
F. Liriano
M. Cain

Throw in Joel Zumaya. He could have some nice value if he gets moved into the rotation.

Just out of curiousity, who do you think McCarthy will replace in the rotation?
