Is he going to split time in center with Stern?

I can't see Pena in center. He'll go back to a platoon when everyone is healthy again.

He just cost the Sox another run+ by not making a play on a catchable flyball that went over his head for a run-scoring, ground-rule double.

I read Crisp will be out longer than expectes when he first went on the DL because the injury is worse then they thought. Both Stern and Pena could be around a while. Unless a trade happens.

If the Red sox were smart, they'd put nixon on the bench when he got back, if they gave pena some time, it would pay off...much more than leaving McOlds in at right...
For those of you who picked the Reds to be last in the central (including espn and si)...i hate all of you, and you are wrong...

I thought Stern was getting sent down after his time was up?

Thankfully, the Red Sox aren't that "smart."
In addition to Nixon being the clearly superior option vs. righties, he's a much better defender.
