Breaking news re: Bonds, he (and it has been confirmed) has 10-12 bone chips floating in his throwing arm, but he will keep playing with it. He says he will play until it blows up, but if he has to have any kind of procedure he will retire.

thats too bad! Bonds is one of the greatest baseball players of all time. Sometimes the end comes too fast for these guys. Remember McGuire! One day 70 homers the next can't walk to the plate. Hope he know when to call it quits!

The cause of this is called steroids in case you hadn't noticed. Going from elite to diminishing star is one thing, going from elite to having your knees and elbows falling apart is another.

Yes, joint injuries are a definite flag for a 'roid user. Ehh, nomar? ;)

I drafted Bonds in the 7th/8th round swing and was hoping he would produce well as a #3 OF. I'm not one to cave into selling low, but as of right now I'd probably trade him for a substantially reduced value than what I had him at going into the season.

i did the same thing, got him in round 8 or 10 cant remember, figured it was worth the risk...right now im doubting that decision. im waiting for bonds to hit 2 hr's in 1 game so i can dump him off on someone

Assuming ol' man Finley can get his creaky body out of the field every day then yes he would benefit from any time Bonds misses. ;)
