I thought the parity of Family Guy's writing was pretty funny. I love Family Guy, but the random jokes made by the manatees were actually jokes I could imagine being in Family Guy.

and for them to have the guts to actually make an epidsode with the image of muhammed is ballsy, probably even borderline suicidal. I mean that one politcal cartoon has led to quite a few deaths already...

They're like Eminem. They say what others won't so people will want to see what they say next. Bash Christianity and it's funny. Bash America and it's funny. The creators talk big about how they'll say what they want to and offend whoever they want because they 'fight the system.' That way they use their freedom of speech to show that they can't be controlled. Looks like they do have a stopping/controlling point- they're own jobs. Threaten them with their jobs and they'll do what you tell them. Isn't the entire show about "watch us say whatever we want to because we can and nobody can control us," yet they gave in when their jobs were on the line. Oh, but it's only this one time. Ya, well it's easy to change what you stand for when you stand for absolutely nothing at all.


P.S. What a stupid thing for Comedy Central to do. Do you really think Muslims in America are going to start killing people? We actually have laws and police in place here who will kick your @#$$#@$ all over the place if you try any crap like that here. Don't let what's happening in the Middle East censor us here. Christians aren't going to rise up and kill people if you make fun of Jesus so we can do that all we want to, but since Muslims will go crazy if you offend them, let's not air anything like that.

Ballsy? I guess. Funny? Not really. I've always though South Park was a bit overrated. The technical aspects of the show are horrendous, so they gain no ground there, and most of their jokes now are dumb stuff like this. Seems that they reached their peak much faster than the Simpsons. HAHAHAH JESUS TAKING A DUMP! THATS HILARIOUS.
