Which of these guys do you think will be better for the rest of the year? Think Kent's injury will make him produce less? Anyone else that might do as well as these guys besides Soriano?
I like Kent for the rest of the year... the mariners, in true seattle fashion, seem to be slowing down from their torrid first half pace. The astros, on the other hand, seem to be prime to heat up... everyone is hitting well and with their pitchers doing well, the sky is the limit. Plus I like the park they are playing in.
Please answer my post about what to do after my trade
I know I'm in the minority on this one, but I like Kent over Boone.

Two votes for Kent even though he's got the ever looming tendinitis? How big of a difference do you see between the two or are they fairly close in value?
i knwo you want a definitive answer, but I think it is a pick em. I have boone so am partial. I woudln';t trade him for kent, but I don;t think the kent owner woudl trade him. It hink you can;t really go wrong either way,a s there are too many variables to predict. although I give an edge to boone as he isn;t injured.
Boone definitely. He's not injured and he's historically a good 2nd half guy. I snagged him cheap around this time last year because of his slow start and he was a monster the rest of the year (for a 2B anyway)

so what if his average raises? Kent will hit for a higher average, hit more homers, more rbis, and more runs. He's coming back to one of the hottest lineups in baseball and I expect him to put up very high numbers between bagwell whos starting to hit again and berkman, who will pick up the pace. If the Astros can be on top without roy and wade at their best and no kent, then they are destined to win the central this year.

There are many different degrees of tendenitis. I'm not concerned about Kent's health and he's in my lineup today (first day back). He's at utility and Soriano is at 2nd. That way you know there is no bias on my part. Anyway, there's enough of a difference that I would use Boone to get Kent. It's not huge, but could be enough to determine who wins the league and who finishes 2nd.

He hasn't so far. Boone has over twice as many homeruns this season and the exact same batting average as Kent. Boone has hit .330 the second half for the last two seasons. I give Boone the edge.
