I like all of what Knicks4Ever said. The focus on holds rather than saves is smart thinking. Its a lot easier to get good holds guys instead of closers. Ortiz's value is decreased when he doesnt play to field, so trade him if you can.

Thanks for your input. I still think trading Big Papi for a solid pitcher is a good plan. You should be able to get terrific value for him from someone who is offensively challenged but deep in pitching. Peavy's value is low right now only because he has had a couple bad outings in a row. Difficulty is that he was probably drafted so high that his owner is unlikely to give him up. Good luck.

i agree with packaging shelton and bonderman (or maybe young) for a top notch pitcher, definately sell high on shelton.

Your starting pitching is extremely good. I'm curious to know how many relievers you can use each day, as you could really stand to add either a closer or a holder (use one of your worst starters like Bonderman/Schmidt, say).

On offense, you've clearly abandoned Ks, so it's not worth adjusting for that category at this point. One thing you should do is trade either Atkins or Glaus; in a league that counts Es, you want the minimum number of shortstops/third basemen possible in your lineup.

on your topic, I'd suggest maybe looking to deal Shelton and/or Ortiz for a top-notch starter and maybe an everyday infield/outfield option. Just dont settle for anyone though when dealing Ortiz b/c he's an animal. Other than that, your team has a good combo of players and looks solid.

I think Ortiz is a notch below the elite. So, you can likely get a guy like Peavy plus another decent player for him. I wouldn't just trade Ortiz fore Peavy straight up.
