Any info on a possible trade of Foulke???

Foulke's not going to be traded, and he likely will return to closer if he shows he can do it in the 7th, 8th. Boston does not intend to use Papelbon out of the bullpen in the long run. I say Foulke is back closing by ASB, his option will not be picked up or guaranteed. Papelbon is in the rotation by ASB, Hansen is up as a set up guy and closed in 07. At least that's the way Boston would like to see it.

Unless there is a complete meltdown, they will keep Papelbon in the closer spot and pick up a SP. There are rumors the Red Sox want D. Willis.

I'm pretty sure everybody wants D. Willis. Doesn't really mean much though.

Paps will remain the man until he falters. If he does not falter then he will be it the whole season.

Foulke will get another chance if he pitches well and Paps falters a bit.

Until then, status quo.

Personally, I believe that it is a 60 percent chance Foulke (at some point) becomes the closer again.

I drafted Paps as a closer and then dropped him for Baez. I may live to regret that move. Time will tell. One thing is for sure: I will have something to follow very closely. :-o

Foulke in the 6th and 7th, Timlin in the 8th, and Pap in the 9th. That how they will be used all year. Pap will not be a starter this year. Trust me. Roger Clemens will provide whatever SP we need down the stretch. Pap will start next year.

Paps (I guess that's his nick?) is this year's Dempster. SP turned RP Closer. If he keeps it up it's his all year

The curtain is closing on Foulke's return to the closer role. Papelbon has been lights-out in the 9th and Bosox would be foolish to mess with that, even if eventually Paps will be in the starting rotation.

The Boston back end isn't looking very strong. They may have no choice but to put Paps in the rotation if Foulke starts to show he can handle the job again.
