Yes but you would need to have P slots to do that. In leagues with only SP and RP slots (usually 2 RP slots), you would have to bench a closer to play a middle reliever.

That is true. I guess my point is from the perspective if you do not have the closers or have open slots, then it is a good idea. We start 2 RP's, but also have 2 spots that can be filled with either starters or relievers.
Also, if in an HTH league, this can also work if you can manage to punt saves.

I'm thinking of punting in my league (4 SP spots, 2 RP), as I grabbed Duchsherer yesterday because I couldn't resist any longer. I haven't decided what strategy I will employ as the season wears on, but punting saves is a different strategy all together and wouldn't be appropriate for us to discuss further in this thread
