I really don't think there's anything to write home about. Few doubted Thome's ability to mash. The #1 thing that scared people away was injury.

Yeah yeah yeah, I stayed away from Thome regarless of round. Right now it looks like a big OOPS. We'll see what his final numbers are...maybe sooner than later

He is on a tear right now, no question about it, but he's obviously not going to keep up this pace. So far this season he's hitting 1 HR every 4.67 ABs. For his career he averages 1 HR every 13.67 ABs. I'm a fan of his, so I'm glad he's doing well, but it's a long season.

i've listed the amounts of games played and stats for Thome since 2000. as you can see, he only missed considerable time in 2005...so why is he tagged as an injury risk. DHing this season, i'd say it's even less....i drafted him dirt cheap and i'm loving it...and will all season long.
