It's a questionable drop if you are in a 12-team or have a deep bench, espc. with that 3B eligibility looming.


This view is right on the money. The decision to drop or keep him has as much to do with league size, waiver wire options and bench size. I dropped him in a 10 team mixed league which only has 2 bench spots and no DL. In a league like mine you need your 2 bench spots to to account for matchups, player hot/ cold streaks and short term injuries. I also had players with almost similar values on the WW (N.Johnson, Sweeney, Overbay). With more bench spots and more teams in the league the decision tilts rapidly to keeping him.
