Any reason to be worried/concerned about...

my concerns were based on

1. Zach Duke: changed his mechanics and is having control issues... been having them since spring ball.

2. Jeff Kent: took a pitch off the elbow and has hit a cold streak since, feel like it may be bothering him more then he is letting on.

3. Halladay: Jays strung me along last year... Gagne: lieing also

its not that they just are slumping or haven't shown quality, there are legitimate reasons behind it.

I'm not too worried about anyone yet ... I've had some bad outings by starters, which are to be expected ... the only genuine concern I have so far is Francoeur, who I wish I'd researched more before trading to acquire ... but that's totally my own fault. He'll probably be ok, anyway.

It's true that there's no reason to get worked up over a few unproductive games at this stage in the season. But sometimes it's nice to get feedback from Cafe members who may actually get to see your guys play on a daily basis as to why they are off to a slow start. That's all I was looking for.

I think the "change in mechanics" has totally been blown out of proportion. If there was a change, it was minor...everything I've read out of Pittsburgh is saying that any tinkering was really done to get him to be more consistent mechanically (certainly not a radical change). Now, I am worried about him falling behind hitters early in the count...but I don't think it's a mechanical problem.

Yep there's my front three, thought I had a heck of a quality staff going into it considering. But like stomperrob i am not worried yet. Serious fantasy baseball stuff never comes (or starts) till the week before Memorial Day anyway. Stop worrying people it is pathetic. Act (or play) like you have been here before.

Colon and Pettitte had career years last year, much better then their norms. Both are ok, but not really 2 guys i would really want.

1) Duke
2) D. Johnson
3) Ellis

All three are on my bench and are on close to getting dropped.

my friend set up a casual league with some other dudes we know but who aren't neccesarily big sports fans. he made K's a batter category and he was so stupid that he thought it was a positive category. he's got a bunch of strikeout masters dunn, burnitz, pretty much his whole roster Ks 120+ times including whifferson who killed him ahahahha.
