Halladay to miss next start

Postby Pokey » Tue Apr 11, 2006 1:31 pm

According to Gordon Edes on the Red Sox pregame, Roy Halladay is experiencing some tendonitus in his right arm. He's flown to Toronto for an MRI. They don't think it's serious, but he will miss at least his next start.

Hopefully everything will be OK. My rotation was looking awesome. This would be a big blow. :-o

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

This is not good.

Roy Halladay will miss his next start with what the Jays are calling a minor muscle strain in his right forearm.
Scott Downs will start in his place Friday against the White Sox. Halladay is expected to make his next start on April 21 against the Red Sox. We'd be less concerned if the Jays had a better track record with these things.

Crap -- that's 3 top guys I lost for this week (Crisp and CJones too). Our league has thin benches and only 1 DL spot ... I'll be lucky not to get destroyed in this weeks H2H match-up.

Where did this come from? :-?

Minor muscle strain in the right forearm? Almost sounds like his 2004 injury to me, and that wouldn't be good..
