Prognosis for MacDougal

Thats an opinion. Mac will be in the mix for saves if he comes back 100%. Burgos has had control problems his entire career and doesnt seem to have the closer mentality.

Thanks for clarification. Naturally, I'd assume MacDougal wouldn't be passed over if/when healthy unless Burgos turned out to be amazing. Also, I noticed that on the official KC team page they have designated Burgos as the CL on their depth chart (under roster tab). Guess their webmaster is on the ball.

Burgos kinda sucks, they'll go back to Macdougal when he comes back, his shoulder strain isn't as bad as they thought it was at first, it's one of those things you just need to rest, and once he shakes off the rust and stuff, he'll probably be good for like 20-25 saves

I disagree Burgos has always been talked about as the closer of the future for the royals. He has been lights out as of late. Look at his stats.

yeah and he gave up the game winning 3 run bomb to Jeter today on a fat 85 mph slider.

Not a good way to lock down the the closer job.
